David Armstrong-Jones, Earl of Snowdon is the son of the late Princess Margaret.

His mother, who was the late Queen's sister, died in 2002.

After his father, photographer Antony Armstrong-Jones, died in 2017,he became the 2nd Earl of Snowdon.

When he was born on November 3, 1961, he was fifth in line to the throne but when the Queen died, he became 24th in line to the throne.

In 2018, the Earl controversially applied to become a member of the House of Lords.

Lord Snowdon also works as a furniture maker and was previously the manager of the auction house Christie’s.

His parents married in 1960 but divorced in 1978.

Is David Armstrong-Jones married?

Yes, David and Serena Armstrong-Jones tied the knot on October 8, 1993, at St Margaret’s Church in Westminster.

The pair met when Serena's father, Viscount Petersham, commissioned David to design furniture.

When they got engaged in May 1993, the Earl's father said: "Both David and Serena are very lucky, especially as they share so many common interests, from their love of the arts generally to the enjoyment of outdoor sports, from architecture to ballet and from fashion to furniture design."

650 guests at the wedding included the Queen, David's divorced parents, and Princess Diana and the Aga Khan.

In 2020, a spokesman for the Earl announced news of his divorce with Serena, saying that the split was "amicable".

He said: "The Earl and Countess of Snowdon have amicably agreed that their marriage has come to an end and that they shall be divorced.

"They ask that the press respect their privacy and that of their family."

Does David Armstrong-Jones have any children?

Yes, David has two children with Serena.

He is dad to Charles Armstrong-Jones, born on July 1, 1999, and Lady Margarita Armstrong-Jones, born on May 14, 2002.

Charles is the heir apparent to the Earldom of Snowdon and 25nd in the line of succession to the British throne, after his father.
