Former Emmerdale star Gemma Atkinson gave fans an insight into her “messy and chaotic” home life, after she was inundated with compliments over her latest photoshoot on Instagram.
It comes as the mum-of-two’s fiancé Gorka Marquez, 33, is currently spending the majority of his time away from their family home in Manchester, due to his hectic Strictly Come Dancing rehearsal schedule.
Gemma, 38, was praised by fans as she revealed the reality behind her shoot, for which she’d had her hair and makeup done professionally.
The model gave her 1.9 million followers a comparison between her glamorous snap, and another of her makeup-free and looking slightly more frazzled in sweats at home, with her blonde hair in a messy updo.
The final photo showed the star’s dining table transformed into a nappy changing station for her nine-week-old baby son Thiago.

Gemma captioned the Instagram versus reality pictures: “I had a lots of lovely DMs asking how I look so fresh on my shoot with a 9 week old so I thought I show you some reality!
“On my shoot i had my hair and makeup done professionally. At home & on the school runs it’s completely different.
“I haven’t actually washed my hair since that shoot on Monday and my dining table is still being used as a changing station for Tio 9wks in.

“My right eye has been wrecking lately which is either from lack of sleep or the start of friggin pink eye from nappies.
“Gorka is based in London for this series so it’s a juggle to say the least! What I’m saying is, home life is incredibly different to what my shoot showed. It’s messy, it’s chaotic, it’s tiring and it’s normal.
“I don’t think anyone truly has every aspect of life nailed. So DO NOT compare to the glam stuff on social media.
“By 3pm that same day I was back to looking like I’d been dragged through a hedge backwards, being bombard with different things Mia wanted for tea, Tio with poo up his back and the squeaker from a dog toy being shredded all over my carpet!
“By Christmas, I’m gonna look 20 years older,” Gemma jokingly concluded.
As Gorka’s Strictly partner Nikita Kanda, 28, is based in London for her work on the BBC Asian Network, the Spanish professional dancer needs to be in the capital city for most of the week to train with the radio presenter ahead of the first live show this weekend.
