I don’t use toilet paper, we have Family Cloth instead – regular loo roll makes me feel sick, it totally grosses me out | The Sun

A WOMAN who has ditched toilet paper for good has explained why she thinks using "family cloth" is a whole lot better.

Channon took to her TikTok page to post a video sharing "things I no longer buy, bathroom edition".

"I no longer buy toilet paper," she began.

"We use reusable toilet paper.

"Some people might think it’s gross.

"We have a bidet so it cleans us and then we basically just use reusable toilet paper to wipe dry.

"So, reusable toilet paper for the win."

She also revealed she makes the reusable toilet paper herself, from flannels on which she just serges the edges.

It's the same for tissues too.

"These are just like sheets – again I just cut them up, serge the edges and just wash them with our clothes," she said.

"No extra laundry whatsoever."

Channon also doesn't use toothpaste, instead favouring tooth "bits", and ditched disposable sanitary towels for reusable cloth pads.

"I love them. I’ve noticed I have way less cramping," she said.

"I don’t know if that’s a coincidence but that’s just my experience.

"But they work amazing – I’m saving so much money and it’s great for the environment."

In the hashtags alongside her video, Channon added "#reusabletoiletpaper", "#familycloth",  "#zerowaste", and  "#zerowasteliving".

People in the comments section were largely divided about her approach, with one writing: "Nooope no ma’am."

"Is this a joke?" another asked.
