I wanted a snatched braided ponytail but it ended in total disaster – I've now got a massive bald patch | The Sun

AS the old saying goes "pain is beauty and beauty is pain."

And one woman, who posts under the handle @exteriorglam, proved this to be true after revealing how a tight, braided hairstyle left her with a massive bald patch.

The beauty fan took to TikTok and posted a video where she begins by showing a snap of her tightly braided hair, which falls to below her bottom.

Next, she shares a photo from the following morning when she was horrified to discover a massive bald spot.

"Wtf happened?" she asks.

She captioned the post: "I’m shook #braidedponytail #hairloss #baldspot."
