DO you struggle to get your kids up and ready for school on time?

A mum has revealed her genius “colour clock” trick which means children know exactly how long they have to get out the house.

All you need to do is grab a cheap clock and some felt tip pens.

In a clip which has racked up over 3,000 likes, the mum wrote: “Back to school hack.

“Manic mornings made easier.

“My five year old has no idea of time… you have five minutes to brush your teeth means absolutely nothing to her.”

The woman coloured in five different segments, depending on how long her daughter had for each job.

For example, from 7.00 to 7.05, the red segment showed the five-minute slot for waking up.

Next, she had from 7.05 to 7.20 as a green slot for breakfast.

There were also time allocations for doing her teeth and brushing her hair, getting dressed and leaving for school.

The mum added: “This is a game-changer for getting ready, out the door and on time every morning.”

The clip was shared on the @babycentreuk TikTok account, who wrote: “Parent hack for getting to school on time.

“If your morning changes, you can just wipe it off and change it! Will you give it a go?”

Many parents were quick to chime in, with one saying: “This is brilliant.”

Another added: “my 13 [year old] doesn't have a clue of time too, am going to make 1 for him.”
