Woman shares 'proof clothing sizes are fake' as she models tight outfits in a 10 & an XL and they fit exactly the same | The Sun

IT'S long been a complaint amongst women worldwide.

And now one woman has offered "proof" that clothing sizes are indeed "fake", after sporting three skintight outfits in three very different sizes.

Grace took to her TikTok page to share a video detailing her findings, which she captioned: "Sizes mean nothing!!

"Clothes are meant to fit your body, you’re not meant to squeeze into clothes that don’t make you feel good!!"

She began the video wearing a black scoop-backed jumpsuit and wrote over the top: "Proof that clothing sizes are fake".

Grace said that the all-in-one was a size 10, before she disappeared from the frame and re-emerged wearing a denim jumpsuit – apparently a size XL.

BIG PROBLEM

I ordered Skims pants in my normal XL size but they were hilariously bad

SIMPLY THE BEST

I’m a size 26 and my bestie’s a 12 – we've found a super sexy dress

Both the ensembles clung to her figure in all the right places, proving to be a flattering fit.

And the same could be said for the final outfit she tried on, a fitted black maxi dress, in a size small.

Once again, it fit her like a glove.

People took to the comments section to weigh in on Grace's video, with one writing: "For real, sometimes xl is too small for me and sometimes xxs is too big for me!"

I bought my teenager what I thought was a fairy top – then I realised my mistake

"I’m literally mostly an xs or s and I bought a dress the other day and it was a size 12," another added.

"I don’t shop online much anymore hahaha!"

"In my wardrobe I currently have sizes 10/12/14/16, I can fit them all," a third admitted.

"Women's's sizing is cooked!"

"For real," someone else agreed.

"Depending on the brand and fit in anywhere from xs to a large."

"I have three pairs of pants from the same company in sizes 34,36,38 and they all fit," another sighed.

"I've always had a mix of clothes from medium to 2x that I liked how they fit, no matter my size… sizing is weird like that,"someone else commented.

But others hit back at the "fake" label, insisting that it depends entirely on who is selling the clothes, and what material they're made from.

"It’s not fake; the material and the brand’s origin plays a huge role," one wrote.

"A Scandinavian brand will not have the same measurements for size S as a French one."

"It depends on the country the clothes were made," another agreed.

"Someone in maybe Australia is way taller than the average American."

"Depends on fabric pretty much," a third wrote.

As someone else commented: "You're not using the same pieces and fabrics so it will vary."
