EastEnders fans convinced Fat Boy is returning from the dead as actor Ricky Norwood is spotted on set | The Sun

EASTENDERS fans are convinced that character Fat Boy is returning from the dead after Ricky Norwood is spotted on set.

The soap actor was originally part of the show spin off EastEnders: E20 before joining the main cast over a decade ago.

Actor Ricky, 35, was a much-loved part of the BBC One series until he was killed off by Ronnie Mitchell in 2015 in a grisly Christmas storyline.

The revenge killing was never played out in full on screens – and viewers noted that his body was never shown after his death.

It's led many long-term fans of the show to believe that Fat Boy would one day return – and now they're certain it's in the works.

A fan filmed as the actor appeared to walk on set for filming of upcoming episodes of the programme – as he pulled up in the car.

She then panned the camera round to reveal her location at Elstree Studios before promptly cutting off the Instagram video.

The social media user – who runs an EastEnders fan account – followed Fat Boy as he walked on set, before panicking that she had ruined the surprise that he was due to return.

"F**k, s**t, I shouldn't of done that," the Instagram user could be heard saying, asking her fans: "Don't you dare spoil that."

EastEnders have denied that Fat Boy is due to return to the show.

Fans speculated shortly after his death on the show that he would return from the dead – again – after not seeing his body.

"I get told, 'We want Fats back', on a daily basis, whether it's a message on Twitter or somebody I meet in the street,” Ricky revealed to Inside Soap. "There are petitions going on."

Ricky’s character met a grisly end in a shocking story line at Christmas in 2015 – when he was killed by Ronnie Mitchell.

Talking about his final scenes, Ricky said: “I'd never really had a Christmas storyline, and I liked that it was a secret that I knew would shock people. But I didn't realise it would get such a response.

“To have had that impact on the nation, with a character who was supposed to be on EastEnders for three months, was amazing.”

Ricky also revealed he’d like a potential return to include his on-screen friendship with Dot Cotton.

He added: “His death would really hurt her, but storyline-wise it might be fun if she went on a secret rampage for Fats, messing up Vincent in one way or another.”
