Lorraine Kelly has branded "all men grumpy" over the recent clip of King Charles and Camilla as they struggled with a leaky pen.

Lorraine was presenting her self titled morning chat show when the top of conversation turned to King Charles.

A short clip of the King was played on the screen behind her, showing Charles as he prepared to sign some papers.

Unfortunately, the pen began to leak and a clearly flustered King passed the faulty pen over to Camilla, the Queen consort.

Lorraine touched upon Camilla's influence over Charles and how just her presence can "alter his mood".

Kelly jokingly retorted: "You can see it already, just in the past few days, how by being there she can alter his mood, make him feel better. You know, make him less grumpy! All men are grumpy, let's be honest."

She continued: "She diffuses that. She's got a real knack, doesn't she? In this instance [referring to the leaking pen], and I don't blame him at all for getting grumpy with that pen, she was just kind of like: 'Yeah, it's fine, OK'."

Lorraine's guest then recalled a moment when Camilla came in to proofread a copy of a magazine she was featured in and King Charles had entered the room.

She recalled that he wasn't too happy as there was a television crew, which he "wasn't expecting," and Kelly made another quip that he was "grumpy".

Lorraine's guest said that Camilla's "empathetic" nature allowed her to simply "jolly him along" by "showing him all the pictures".

Kelly then remembered that Camilla had previously "came along" to the ITV daytime studios and met all the stars from "GMB, This Morning and Loose Women".

Lorraine said: "She was great! She knew everybody and obviously she is someone who does her homework. She put everybody at ease because you don't quite know what to do with yourself. Goodness me, you couldn't get more up close and personal."

Kelly then noted that for her guest edited issue of Country Life, Camilla wanted to do something really special.

She cheekily made her pup pals pose for the publication, but adorned their necks with her finest pearl necklaces.
