Coronation Street fans were feeling the sense of déjà vu this week as Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and Damon Hay (Ciaran Griffiths) very nearly slept together.
This is because the stars, Tina and Ciaran, have previously worked together, playing a couple in Waterloo Road back in 2011.
Tina portrayed the role of Bex Fisher in the school-based drama, while Ciaran played Dylan Hodge, who had become obsessed with pornography.
Dylan forced Bex to live with him, making films of her and posting them on a porn website.
However, when Bex returned home, Dylan then attempted to target her sister, Jess.
During Monday’s (March 20) episode of Coronation Street, Sarah went to a hotel after having an argument with partner Adam (Sam Robertson).
It was there that she met Damon, who was recently released from prison after Nick (Ben Price) had him arrested for dealing drugs through Bistro deliveries.
Initially, Sarah didn’t know who Damon was. They immediately hit it off and enjoyed each other’s company, but it was in the hotel room where Sarah changed her mind about Damon, stopping things from going any further after reading a card Adam had left for her.
So weird seeing Sarah n Damon I just remember seeing them as hodge n bex #corrie #waterlooroad
As they flirted, Corrie fans picked up on their past scenes in Waterloo Road, with one Twitter user commenting on how it’s ‘so weird seeing Sarah n Damon, I just remember seeing them as Hodge n Bex!’.

Not only have Ciaran and Tina worked together on screen before, but they also attended drama school together, as actress Tina O’Brien recently told us:
‘It’s weirdly full circle, we started working together when we were 14 at drama school and now I feel like I’m about 102 back working with him again.
‘It’s really lovely to work with him again, it’s lovely to work with both Sam and Ciaran, there are a lot of scenes coming up that will involve very awkward situations for Sarah and that’s always fun to play!’.
