Pub landlady, 47, knifed waitress, 18, in front of shocked customers after accusing her of having AFFAIR with husband | The Sun

A PUB landlady knifed an 18-year-old waitress in front of shocked customers after accusing her of having an affair with her husband.

Luisa Santos, 47, believed that her husband Pedro was having an affair with waitress Hannah Pritchett and told him to choose between her and their family.

But when chef Pedro failed to act on her concerns, Santos picked up a large fish knife and brutally attacked the teen as shocked bystanders watched on.

The horrific incident took place back in May at The Three Horseshoes in Princethorpe, Warwickshire, a court heard.

Warwick Crown Court heard that morning Santos was seen beating eggs in a frenzy and when asked what was wrong, said: "It’s her. He chose her over our family."

CCTV footage captured the moment Santos approached the young waitress and stabbed her twice in her left side from behind.

Jurors heard the Portuguese landlady screamed "bitch, you bitch" while knifing Hannah, reports Mail Online.

The court heard that the waitress fled towards her car in the car park before collapsing.

She suffered two "deep" wounds and it was only through "great fortune" that she survived, the jury were told.

Santos had told her husband Pedro that Hannah was "laughing" at her, before ordering him to choose between her and his family, the court heard.

Despite what Santos believed, prosecutor Peter Grieves-Smith told jurors that any concerns that there had been an "inappropriate relationship"between her husband and Hannah was "entirely misconceived".

Hannah, who had a boyfriend at the time of the attack, said she was unaware that the landlady believed she was having an affair with Pedro.

Grieves-Smith told jurors Santos had already admitted wounding with intent and possessing a knife.

He said that the issue that they had to decide was whether Santos intended to kill.
